Working with Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks to support them from conception through to completion of a project for the removal and replacement of existing 33kV AIS switchgear with the new elevated switch room building and GIS switchgear.

Over an extensive programme the existing AIS switchgear and open busbar compound was transferred onto the new GIS switchgear. The works involved transferring several oil-filled cable circuits and necessary cable transformations onto new XLPE cables.  132kV and 33kV transformer outage programmes were involved and the overall project programme was completed ahead of the required clock change deadline.

Financial control and valuations of the ongoing works for the electrical installation, and associated Civil’s works were undertaken by Glanville Projects for our client Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks.
